Public Information Division provides LegCo with public relations opinions and advice, co-ordinates media-related matters and organizes other relevant programmes for promoting the work and corporate image of LegCo. Besides, the Division has established an in-house TV production team to televise the open meetings and official media briefings of LegCo and its committees, and broadcast live on the LegCo Website.

bullet Media Relations

The Division issues press releases related to Council business to keep close contact with the media, and issue "Guidelines and Arrangements for Media Representatives in the Legislative Council Complex" and "A Guide to the Legislative Council Complex" to facilitate media coverage of LegCo meetings and events.

When carrying out the televising duties, the in-house TV production team of the Division has to follow the Televising Guidelines endorsed by The Legislative Council Commission.

News media organizations are welcome to use the audio/visual signals of open meetings and briefings produced and provided by the TV production team.
