This research examines public service broadcasting in Hong Kong, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. It covers (a) background of the national public service broadcaster(s), (b) regulatory framework; (c) editorial independence; (d) sources of funding; (e) corporate governance; (f) accountability; (g) programme diversity; (h) distinctiveness from commercial broadcasters; and (i) review of the national public service broadcaster(s).
This research compares the health care financing policies of Canada, England of the United Kingdom and Taiwan. It focuses on the following aspects: overview of the health care system; guiding principles of the health care system; collection mechanism of health care resources and share of contribution among funding sources; allocation mechanism of health care resources and share of funds received among health care providers; distribution of health care expenditure among health care programmes and activities, and share of funding among the relevant parties in each of these programmes and activities; and policy evaluation.
This research studies the child protection policies and measures in England in the United Kingdom, the Province of Ontario in Canada and the State of New South Wales in Australia. It covers legal framework, guiding principles and policy framework for child protection; mode of provision of child protection services; government intervention strategies; measures for supporting children in various age groups and their families; funding for child protection measures; legal representation of children in court; and mechanisms for monitoring and reviewing the implementation of child protection measures.
