The Legislative Council Subcommittee on Matters Relating to Railways conducted a site visit to MTR Shatin Freight Yard and Racecourse Station on 10 January 2014 to better understand the works progress of retrofitting automatic platform gates at East Rail Line stations.

Subcommittee members participating in the site visit included Hon Michael TIEN Puk-sun, Chairman of the Subcommittee, Hon WONG Kwok-hing and Dr Hon Elizabeth QUAT.
