		Subhead 700 General non-recurrent New Item "ITU TELECOM WORLD 2006" This item invites Members to approve the creation of a new commitment of $87.4 million under Head 55 Government Secretariat : Commerce, Industry and Technology Bureau (Communications and Technology Branch) Subhead 700 General non-recurrent to meet the costs for Hong Kong to host the International Telecommunication Union TELECOM WORLD 2006.

		New Subhead "Loans to live poultry retailers" This item invites Members to approve the creation of a new commitment of $236,428,000 for making ex-gratia payment to live poultry retailers who choose to surrender their fresh provision shop licences with endorsement to sell live poultry or public market tenancies, as appropriate; the creation of a new commitment of $83,028,000 for providing up to eight weeks of retraining courses and one-off grants to assist affected live poultry retail workers; and the creation of a new subhead "Loans to live poultry retailers" under Loan Fund with a commitment of $9,000,000 for making loans on an unsecured basis to live poultry retailers holding fresh provision shop licences with endorsement to sell live poultry who wish to continue operating to upgrade their facilities to enhance their sanitary and hygiene conditions.

		Subhead 603 Plant, vehicles and equipment New Item "Replacement and upgrading of information technology facilities in public sector schools" Subhead 700 General non-recurrent New Item "Implementation of information technology in education strategy" This item invites Members to approve the creation of a new commitment of $171.5 million under Head 156 Government Secretariat : Education and Manpower Bureau Subhead 603 Plant, vehicles and equipment for the replacement and upgrading of Information Technology (IT) facilities in public sector schools; and a new commitment of $40.2 million under Head 156 Government Secretariat : Education and Manpower Bureau Subhead 700 General non-recurrent for the implementation of various initiatives under the next IT in education strategy for the implementation of another stage of the IT in Education Strategy.
