At its meeting on 10 January 2007, the Legislative Council passed the following two motions with no legislative effect: (1) Motion on "Enhancing the efficacy of the management of public finances", moved by Hon TAM Heung-man as amended by Hon Jeffrey LAM Kin-fung. (2) Motion on "Non-local pregnant women giving birth in Hong Kong", moved by Dr Hon Joseph LEE Kok-long as amended by Dr Hon KWOK Ka-ki and Hon Andrew CHENG Kar-foo.
