At its meeting on 2 May 2007, the Legislative Council passed the following two bills: (1) Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications Bill, with amendments proposed by the Secretary for Education and Manpower at Committee Stage. (2) Employment (Amendment) Bill 2006, with amendments proposed by the Secretary for Economic Development and Labour at Committee Stage. At the same meeting, the Council passed the following resolution: Resolution moved by the Chief Secretary for Administration under the Legal Aid Ordinance. The following motion with no legislative effect was also passed by the Council: Motion on "Increasing the number of local university places", moved by Hon CHEUNG Man-kwong as amended by Hon Andrew LEUNG Kwan-yuen.
