2006-2007 		Issue No. 26 (28 June 2007)


At its meeting on 27 June 2007, the Legislative Council passed the following two bills:

(1)Copyright (Amendment) Bill 2006, with amendments proposed by the Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology at Committee Stage.

(2)Tsing Sha Control Area Bill, with amendments proposed by the Secretary for the Environment, Transport and Works at Committee Stage.


At the same meeting, the Council passed the following two resolutions:

(1)Resolution moved by the Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology under the Interpretation and General Clauses Ordinance.

(2)Resolution moved by the Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food relating to the Pharmacy and Poisons (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulation 2007 and the Poisons List (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulation 2007.


The following two motions with no legislative effect were also passed by the Council:

(1)Motion on "Elderly in poverty", moved by Hon Frederick FUNG Kin-kee.

(2)Motion on "Lowering the Mandatory Provident Fund management fees", moved by Hon Miriam LAU Kin-yee as amended by Hon SIN Chung-kai and Hon Andrew LEUNG Kwan-yuen.
