At its meeting on 12 March 2008, the Legislative Council passed the following bill:
At the same meeting, the Council passed the following five resolutions:

(1)Resolution moved by the Secretary for Education relating to the Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (Appeal) Rules.

(2)Resolution moved by the Secretary for Food and Health relating to the Pharmacy and Poisons (Amendment) Regulation 2008 and the Poisons List (Amendment) Regulation 2008.

(3)Resolution moved by the Secretary for Transport and Housing relating to the Magistrates Ordinance.

(4)Resolution moved by Hon Audrey EU Yuet-mee relating to the extension of the period for amending the Antiquities and Monuments (Withdrawal of Declaration of Proposed Monument) (No. 128 Pok Fu Lam Road) Notice.

(5)Resolution moved by Hon Miriam LAU Kin-yee relating to the extension of the period for amending the Rating (Exemption) Order 2008 and the Trade Descriptions (Definition of Diamond) Regulation.


The following two motions not intended to have legislative effect were also passed by the Council:

(1)Motion on "Improving the public hospital services in Kowloon East", moved by Hon Alan LEONG Kah-kit as amended by Dr Hon KWOK Ka-ki, Hon Tommy CHEUNG Yu-yan, Hon Fred LI Wah-ming, Hon Albert HO Chun-yan, Hon Ronny TONG Ka-wah, Hon James TO Kun-sun, Dr Hon Joseph LEE Kok-long and Hon Frederick FUNG Kin-kee.

(2)Motion on "Enhancing sex education", moved by Hon SIN Chung-kai.
