At its meeting on 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 July 2008, the Legislative Council passed the following five bills:

(1)Race Discrimination Bill, with amendments moved by the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs at Committee Stage.

(2)Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes (Amendment) Bill 2008.

(3)Air Pollution Control (Amendment) Bill 2008, with amendments moved by the Secretary for the Environment at Committee Stage.

(4)Product Eco-responsibility Bill, with amendments moved by the Secretary for the Environment at Committee Stage.

(5)Independent Police Complaints Council Bill, with amendments moved by the Secretary for Security at Committee Stage.


At the same meeting, the Council passed the following three resolutions:

(1)Resolution moved by the Secretary for Development relating to the Building (Planning) (Amendment) Regulation 2008.

(2)Resolution moved by the Secretary for Development relating to the Building (Refuse Storage and Material Recovery Chambers and Refuse Chutes) (Amendment) Regulation 2008.

(3)Resolution moved by the Secretary for Transport and Housing under the Dutiable Commodities Ordinance.
