At its meeting on 16 and 17 December 2009, the Legislative Council passed the following three bills: (1) Import and Export (Amendment) Bill 2009. (2) Public Officers Pay Adjustment Bill, with amendments moved by the Secretary for the Civil Service at Committee stage. (3) Domestic Violence (Amendment) Bill 2009, with amendments moved by the Secretary for Labour and Welfare at Committee stage. At the same meeting, the Council passed the following resolution: Resolution moved by the Secretary for Food and Health relating to the Pharmacy and Poisons (Amendment) (No. 4) Regulation 2009 and the Poisons List (Amendment) (No. 4) Regulation 2009. The following two motions not intended to have legislative effect were also passed by the Council: (1) Motion on "Formulating operational standards for public organizations", moved by Hon Mrs Regina IP LAU Suk-yee as amended by Hon Miriam LAU Kin-yee and Dr Hon PAN Pey-chyou. (2) Motion on "Urging the Government to promote a new occupational culture campaign for work-life balance", moved by Hon CHAN Kin-por.
