At its meeting of 5 and 6 January 2011, the Legislative Council passed the following two motions not intended to have legislative effect: (1) Motion on "Urging the Government to take measures for ameliorating inflation and alleviating people's livelihood pressure", moved by Hon WONG Sing-chi as amended by Hon CHAN Kam-lam. (2) Motion on "Promoting long-term sports development", moved by Hon KAM Nai-wai as amended by Hon WONG Kwok-hing and Hon Tanya CHAN.
