LegCo Panel on Housing visits Tin Yiu Estate of Tin Shui Wai (with photos)




The Legislative Council ("LegCo") Panel on Housing conducted a visit to Tin Yiu Estate of Tin Shui Wai today (1 February) to better understand the impact posed by the plan of Link Asset Management Limited ("Link") to convert Tin Yiu Market into a shopping complex. 

 

According to Link's plan, the wet market stalls of Tin Yiu Market will be relocated to Tin Shing Market.  Members first walked from Tin Tsz Estate to Tin Shing Market to estimate the time required to reach Tin Shing Market under the plan.  Members then walked from Tin Shing Market to Tin Yiu Market to meet and listen to the request of the local residents.

Members who participated in the visit included Hon Christopher CHUNG Shu-kun, Chairman of the Panel, Hon Alice MAK Mei-kuen, Deputy Chairman of the Panel, as well as Panel members Hon Frederick FUNG Kin-kee and Hon LEUNG Che-cheung.
