ITEM FOR FINANCE COMMITTEE
RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE ESTABLISHMENT SUBCOMMITTEE
At the Enclosure is a summary of the recommendations of the Establishment Subcommittee (ESC).
2. Agenda items EC(96-97)22(part) and 24 were recommended by ESC at its meeting on 14 June 1996. On EC(96-97)22, the ESC endorsed the proposals in paragraphs 2(a) and 2(d) and the Administration withdrew the proposals in paragraphs 2(b), 2(c) and 2(e). The relevant papers have previously been forwarded to all Members for consideration and are therefore not enclosed.
3. Members are invited to approve the ESC recommendations.
4. The up-to-date position of the establishment of directorate posts in the civil service is as follows -
