Electrical Product Offences: "Certification of safety compliance" - it will be best if appointed government authority which will be responsible for the issuance of the certificate could be specified. And at the same time, the procedure of applying for such certification should be clearly laid out for applicants to follow.

Are Test Certificates/Reports issued by overseas certification bodies recognized as safety compliance of electrical products?

"Certificate of safety compliance" - what are the essential parameters to declare? Certificate of safety compliance to be made available with products or shipping document or when asked by Standards Trading Officer? How about the need to compile a Technical File?

If product defects notification or product recalls are necessary, Corporate Safety has to be notified prior to such issuance. As such, reasonable time has to be given for due diligence.

This should be made mandatory. Training and registration of electrical installation workers would provide evidence of due diligence in case there is a proceeding against him.

Good for supplier of home appliances and consumers.

Clear regulations have to be spelt out regarding installation and protection (as it applies to fixed air-conditioners for our case).

This has to be mandatory. Safety requirements to which safety standards have to be determined in particular for "non-prescribed products". What classes of non-prescribed products have to be regulated and when must they comply?

Are test certificates/Reports issued by Overseas Certification Body recognized as safety compliance of electrical products?

If this happens, need to notify ‘Whirlpool Corporate Safety’ regarding action to take, etc.
