Appropriation Bill 1997

The Bill was read the first time and ordered to be set down for Second Reading pursuant to Standing Order No. 41(3).

Second Reading

Appropriation Bill 1997

The Financial Secretary moved the Second Reading and addressed the Council.

Question on the Second Reading proposed. The President stated that in accordance with Standing Orders No.54(2), the debate on the second reading of the above bill was adjourned. The draft Estimates were referred to the Finance Committee for examination, before the debate on the Bill resumed.

Next sitting

In accordance with Standing Orders, the President adjourned the Council until Wednesday 19 March 1997.

Adjourned accordingly at three minutes past four o’clock.
