List of Government Advisory Bodies relevant to Provisiona Legislative Council Panels

SecurityAction Committee Against NarcoticsChief Executive To advise the Chief Executive on matters relating to dangerous drugs and measures necessary to eradicate drug abuse from the community.
Independent Police Complaints Council Chief Executive To monitor and review the investigation by the Hong Kong Police Force of complaints made against the Force by the public.
ICAC Complaints Committee Chief Executive To monitor and review the handling by ICAC of complaints made against ICAC and ICAC Officers, and to identify any faults in ICAC procedures which lead or may lead to complaints.
Long-term Prison Sectences Review Board Chief Exective (section 15 of Long-term Prison Sentences Review Ordinance) To recommend to the Chief Executive that a particular prisoner's sentence should be remitted or commuted.
Prisoners (Release under Supervision) Board Secretary for Security (by delegation of authority from the former Governor in 1992) To recommend to the Secretary for Security that a particular prisoner be release from imprisonment subject to supervision under the Prisoners (Release under Supervision) Ordinance (Cap. 325)
Advisory Committee on Corruption of the ICAC Chief Executive To advise the Commissioner, ICAC on any aspect of the problem of corruption in Hong Kong and to draw to the attention of the Chief Executive any aspect of the work of the Commission if necessary.
Citizens Advisory Committee on Community Relations of the ICAC Chief Executive To advise the Commissioner, ICAC on measures to foster public support in combatting corruption and to educate the public against the evils of corruption.
Corruption Preventiion Advisory Committee of the ICAC Chief Executive To receive and call for reports from the Commission about practices and procedures of Government Departments, public bodies and private sectors which may be conducive to corruption and to advise the Commissioner the areas and degree of priority for examination.
Operations Review Committee of the ICAC Chief Executive To receive from the Commissioner, ICAC information about all complaints of corruption made to the Commission and progress reports on all investigations lasting over a year, and other related matters. To draw to the attention of the Chief Executive any aspect of the work of the Operations Department.
