At Enclosures 1 and 2 are summaries of the recommendations of the Public Works Subcommittee (PWSC) made at its meetings on 12 May 1999^* and 26 May 1999 respectively. The relevant papers considered by the PWSC have previously been forwarded to all Members and are therefore not enclosed.

86WC PWSC(1999-2000)24 (Head 709)	Water supply to Pak Shek Kok, Tai Po - remaining works	To recommend to Finance Committee - the upgrading of part of 86WC, entitled "Water supply to Pak Shek Kok, Tai Po - Pak Shek Kok fresh water service reservoir, Tai Po Kau fresh water pumping station and associated mainlaying" to Category A at an estimated cost of $100.5 million in money-of-the-day prices; and the retention of the remainder of 86WC in Category B.
