At the Enclosure is a summary of the recommendations of the Public Works Subcommittee (PWSC) made at its meeting on 23 September 1998. The relevant papers have previously been forwarded to all Members for consideration by the PWSC and are therefore not enclosed. Encl.

  2. the upgrading of part of 446TH as 732TH, entitled "Improvement, reconstruction and extension of village access roads in the New Territories: 1998-99 Supplementary Programme", to Category A at an estimated cost of $18.8 million in money-of-the-day prices; and

  3. the retention of the remainders of 18HH and 446TH in Category B.
