Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance (Public Markets) (Designation and Amendment of Tenth Schedule) (No. 3) Order 1999 (L.N. 154)


By this Order, the Provisional Urban Council designated under section 79(3) of the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance (Cap. 132) ("the Principal Ordinance") the Stanley Temporary Market and the Yee On Street Market ("the Markets") as public markets. Simultaneously in this Order, the Tenth Schedule of the Principal Ordinance is amended in accordance with section 79(5) of the Principal Ordinance by adding the Markets.

Declaration of Markets in the Urban Council Area (Amendment) (No. 2) Declaration 1999 (L.N. 155)


By this Declaration made under section 79(1) of the Principal Ordinance, the Provisional Urban Council declares the Stanley Temporary Market and the Yee On Street Market to be markets to which the Principal Ordinance applies. The Schedule to the Declaration of Markets in the Urban Council Area (Cap. 132 sub. leg.) was amended accordingly.

Conservancy (Urban Council) (Amendment) Bylaw 1999 (L.N. 156)


This Bylaw amends Bylaw 3 of the Conservancy (Urban Council) Bylaws (Cap. 132 sub. leg.) by repealing the definition of "conservancy service" and substituting a new definition which does not refer to the repealed section 16 of the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance (Cap. 132). "Conservancy Service" is now defined as a service providing for the cleansing or emptying of sanitary pails or other similar containers, septic tanks, aqua-privies or cesspools or a service of providing movable toilets or other temporary toilets.

Prevention of Bribery (Amendment) Ordinance 1999 (20 of 1999) (Commencement) Notice 1999 (L.N. 157)


By this notice, the Chief Secretary for Administration appointed 17 June 1999 as the day on which the Prevention of Bribery (Amendment) Ordinance (No. 20 of 1999) would come into operation. The Ordinance was enacted on 2 June 1999 to include the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited, Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited, the SEHK Options Clearing House Limited and HKFE Clearing Corporation Limited in the list of public bodies under the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance (Cap. 201) and to effect amendment to the definition of "public servant" and some technical amendments.
