Both Notices specify 1 April 1999 as the day on which the Industrial Training (Clothing Industry) (Amendment) Ordinance 1998 (40 of 1998) and Import and Export (Registration) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulation 1998 (L.N. 334 of 1998) will come into operation respectively.

The object of the Amendment Ordinance and the Amendment Regulation is to withdraw postal lodgement as one of the methods of lodging import and export declarations to be provided to the Commissioner of Customs and Excise.

Introduction of the Euro Ordinance (41 of 1998) (Commencement) Notice 1998 (L.N. 398)


This Notice specifies 31 December 1998 as the day on which the Introduction of the Euro Ordinance (41 of 1998) would come into operation.

The object of the Ordinance is to provide for the effect on legal obligations consequent upon the adoption of the Euro as the single currency of the participating member states of the European Union and for matters incidental thereto and connected therewith.
