Access restrictions on archival records are time-limited as sensitivities in the records may diminish because of changing circumstances or with the passage of time. To make closed records timely available for public access, the LegCo Archives reviews time-expired archival records periodically according to the
access policy of the Legislative Council and of The Legislative Council Commission. Any closed archival records will also be reviewed and digitized on receipt of an
access to information request. Subject to the review decisions, the requested records may be made available for public access.
