  • "Work of LegCo: Then and Now" Exhibition
The Library and the Archives regularly organize exhibitions on G/F of the Library. Visitations are welcomed. The Thematic exhibitions aim to look into matters of interest or concern to Members and the public, with in-depth analysis and presented in a diversified interactive and easy-to-understand manner to engage different types of visitors.
Current exhibition: The Executive and Legislature —— A century of evolution and interaction.
Explore the century-long evolution of Hong Kong's executive-legislative relationship: Trace the journey from the early days when executive and legislative were unified, through the transformative reforms and introduction of representative government before the handover, to the framework established and arrangement stipulated in the Basic Law; Discover after the handover how society has progressed from chaos to stability, advanced from stability to prosperity, and restored rationality.
This exhibition features historical documents, photos, videos and artefacts, providing visitors with an insightful and engaging experience into this pivotal chapter of Hong Kong's history.

The Legislative Council Library is hosting the following thematic book displays, through the curated books, to explore issues of interest to the Members and the public.
  • 2025 Constitution Day [Check out the relevant book list]
    To support the Constitution Day on 4 December of each year, this display explores the history and development of the national constitution and the Basic Law, and covers constitutional laws and reviews of overseas places.
  • Improved Electoral System [Check out the relevant book list]
    The 2025 Legislative Council General Election will be held on 7 December. Against this, this display introduces Hong Kong's improved electoral system, explores the implementation of the "patriots administering Hong Kong" principle and also includes books on recent overseas elections.

The Library and the Archives regularly organize exhibitions on G/F of the Library. Visitations are welcomed. The "Work of LegCo: Then and Now" Exhibitions display the work of LegCo and persons and matters in the Chamber from then to now with an aim to promote the general understanding of LegCo and its work.
From sharing office space with the Government in early days to the completion of the Legislative Council Complex expansion in 2025, the Hong Kong Legislature has undergone numerous relocations. This exhibition, entitled “Home of the Legislature: From Shared Premises to Purpose-Built Complex”, highlights key milestones of the Legislature providing the public with a glimpse of the development and evolution of the Legislature, through archival records, photos, videos and artefacts.
