Chapter 3 Committees Hon Starry LEE Wai-king, Chairman of the House Committee. Hon Dennis KWOK Wing-hang, Deputy Chairman of the House Committee. The House Committee normally meets weekly on Fridays to prepare for meetings of the Council and considers matters relating to the Council's business while the Council is in session. An important function of the Committee is to decide the manner of consideration of bills introduced into the Council and subsidiary legislation tabled in Council or presented to the Council for approval. The Committee also serves as a focal point for establishing a formal and regular dialogue with the Government. The Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Committee meet with the Chief Secretary for Administration on a regular basis to discuss matters of mutual concern.
