At its meeting on 17 January 2007, the Legislative Council passed the following bill: District Councils (Amendment) Bill 2006. At the same meeting, the Council passed the following resolution: Resolution moved by the Secretary for the Environment, Transport and Works relating to the Air Pollution Control (Volatile Organic Compounds) Regulation. The following two motions with no legislative effect were also passed by the Council: (1) Motion on "Policy on conservation of monuments", moved by Hon Audrey EU Yuet-mee as amended by Hon WONG Kwok-hing, Hon Howard YOUNG and Hon CHOY So-yuk. (2) Motion on "Retaining and supporting the development of commercial districts and bazaars with local characteristics", moved by Hon Vincent FANG Kang as amended by Dr Hon KWOK Ka-ki, Hon Albert HO Chun-yan and Dr Hon YEUNG Sum.
