At its meeting on 25 April 2007, the Legislative Council passed the following two bills: (1) Shenzhen Bay Port Hong Kong Port Area Bill, with amendments proposed by the Secretary for Security at Committee Stage. (2) Building Management (Amendment) Bill 2005, with amendments proposed by the Secretary for Home Affairs at Committee Stage. At the same meeting, the Council passed the following two resolutions: (1) Resolution moved by Hon Fred LI Wah-ming relating to the extension of the period for amending the Sewage Services (Sewage Charge) (Amendment) Regulation 2007 and the Sewage Services (Trade Effluent Surcharge) (Amendment) Regulation 2007. (2) Resolution moved by Hon Fred LI Wah-ming relating to the extension of the period for amending the Technical Memorandum on Procedures and Methods for Sampling and Analysis of Trade Effluents. The following two motions with no legislative effect were also passed by the Council: (1) Motion on "Overseas experience in air quality control, management of municipal solid waste, renewable energy and total water management", moved by Hon CHOY So-yuk. (2) Motion on "Protecting the right of the Chinese victims to demand compensation from Japan", moved by Hon Albert HO Chun-yan.
