At its meeting on 30 April 2008, the Legislative Council passed the following two bills: (1) Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill 2007, with amendments moved by the Secretary for Justice at Committee Stage. (2) Energy Efficiency (Labelling of Products) Bill, with amendments moved by the Secretary for the Environment at Committee Stage. At the same meeting, the Council passed the following motion not intended to have legislative effect: Motion on "Ceasing the imposition of the levy on employers of foreign domestic helpers", moved by Hon Tommy CHEUNG Yu-yan as amended by Hon LEE Cheuk-yan and Hon Andrew LEUNG Kwan-yuen.
