At its meeting on 4 June 2008, the Legislative Council passed the following four resolutions: (1) Resolution moved by Hon James TO Kun-sun relating to the extension of the period for repealing the Fugitive Offenders (Ireland) Order. (2) Resolution moved by Hon KWONG Chi-kin relating to the extension of the period for amending the Pension Benefits Ordinance (Established Offices) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 2008. (3) Resolution moved by Hon Audrey EU Yuet-mee relating to the extension of the period for amending the Sewage Services (Trade Effluent Surcharge) (Amendment) Regulation 2008. (4) Resolution moved by Hon Jasper TSANG Yok-sing relating to the Rules of Procedure of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. At the same meeting, the Council passed the following two motions not intended to have legislative effect: (1) Motion on "Promoting the development of local football", moved by Hon Mrs Sophie LEUNG LAU Yau-fun as amended by Hon CHOY So-yuk and Dr Hon YEUNG Sum. (2) Motion on "Opportunities to Hong Kong brought about by the thawing cross-strait relations", moved by Hon TAM Yiu-chung as amended by Hon Jeffrey LAM Kin-fung, Hon Miriam LAU Kin-yee and Hon Howard YOUNG.
