At its meeting on 3 June 2009, the Legislative Council passed the following three resolutions:

(1)Resolution moved by Hon James TO Kun-sun relating to the extension of the period for amending the Consular Relations (Additional Privileges and Immunities) (India) Order, the Administration of Estates by Consular Officers Ordinance (Variation of Schedule: India) Order, the Consular Conventions (Application of Section 3) (India) Order, the Consular Relations (Additional Privileges and Immunities) (Italy) Order, the Administration of Estates by Consular Officers Ordinance (Variation of Schedule: New Zealand) Order, the Consular Conventions (Application of Section 3) (New Zealand) Order, the Consular Relations (Additional Privileges and Immunities) (Russia) Order, the Administration of Estates by Consular Officers Ordinance (Variation of Schedule: Russia) Order and the Consular Conventions (Application of Section 3) (Russia) Order.

(2)Resolution moved by Hon Paul TSE Wai-chun relating to the extension of the period for amending the Race Discrimination (Formal Investigations) Rules and the Race Discrimination (Investigation and Conciliation) Rules.

(3)Resolution moved by Hon Paul TSE Wai-chun relating to the extension of the period for amending the Code of Practice on Employment under the Race Discrimination Ordinance.


At the same meeting, the Council passed the following two motions not intended to have legislative effect:

(1)Motion on "Promoting research and development", moved by Dr Hon PAN Pey-chyou as amended by Dr Hon Samson TAM Wai-ho, Hon Fred LI Wah-ming and Hon Andrew LEUNG Kwan-yuen.

(2)"Motion for the adjournment of the Council", moved by Hon Ronny TONG Ka-wah.
