Legislative Council ("LegCo") Members conducted a site visit today (20 February) to the shingle beach in Wu Kai Sha to follow up on a complaint about the safety of the beach, damages to its ecological environment and the alleged illegal occupation of government land nearby.

During the visit, Members received briefings by representatives of various government departments, such as the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the Civil Engineering and Development Department, as well as the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, on respective actions taken to tackle the above issues.

Members who participated in the site visit are LegCo Redress System Duty Roster Member, Hon CHAN Chi-chuen (Convenor), and the invited Member, Hon Alvin YEUNG.
