LegCo Panel on Security visits Independent Commission Against Corruption (with photos)
The Legislative Council Panel on Security conducted a visit to the Independent Commission Against Corruption ("ICAC") today (27 March) so as to have a better understanding of its work.
Members met with the Commissioner and Heads of Department of ICAC to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.
Members also took the opportunities to tour various facilities in the ICAC Headquarters Building, including the Exhibition Hall, the Report Centre, the Detention Centre, the Operations Control Room, Video Interview Rooms and the Identification Parade Suite so as to learn more about the history and development of ICAC, as well as its daily operations of receiving, considering and investigating alleged corruption offences.
Members who participated in the visit included the Chairman of the Panel, Hon CHAN Hak-kan, Panel members Hon MA Fung-kwok, Hon CHAN Chi-chuen, Hon POON Siu-ping, Hon CHUNG Kwok-pan, Hon LAM Cheuk-ting, Hon Wilson OR Chong-shing, as well as non-Panel member Hon IP Kin-yuen.
