ITEM FOR FINANCE COMMITTEE

RECOMMENDATION OF THE PUBLIC WORKS SUBCOMMITTEE ON AIRPORT CORE PROGRAMME

On 10 January 1996, the Public Works Subcommittee (PWSC) considered PWSC Paper No. PWSC(95-96)76 “8AG - New Airport Works Project Management Phase IV”. The PWSC recommended to Finance Committee to upgrade 8AG to Category A of the Public Works Programme at an estimated cost of $298 million in money-of-day prices to allow the Government to continue into the fourth phase (Phase IV) of the overall project management consultancy for the Airport Core Programme. The relevant paper has previously been forwarded to all Members for consideration by the PWSC and is therefore not enclosed.

2. Members are invited to approve the PWSC recommendation.
