Summary of the proposed amendments

1 The amendment follows the principle laid down by the Adaptation of Laws (No. 3) Ordinance 1999 (13 of 1999) i.e. where the provision relates to the power to make subsidiary legislation, the term will not be adapted to "Chief Executive in Council" notwithstanding Article 56 of the Basic Law.

2 Sections 18(2) and 19(1) of the Country Parks Ordinance (Cap. 208) relate to legal proceedings against the Crown and the right to claim compensation from the Crown.

3 The amendment seeks to correct a typographical error in Regulation 8(2) of the Country Parks and Special Areas Regulations (Cap. 208 sub. leg.).
