Boilers and Pressure Vessels Ordinance (Cap. 56)
Boilers and Pressure Vessels (Exemption) (Consolidation) (Amendment) Order 1998 (L.N. 300)

This Order exempts all cleaning machines of the type known as High Pressure Hot Water Cleaner, Model C1250 Classic, manufactured by the Wap Reinigungssysteme GmbH & Co. of Germany from the provisions of the Boilers and Pressure Vessels Ordinance (Cap. 56) ("the Ordinance").

The effect of this Order is that the provisions in the Ordinance relating to the registration and maintenance of boilers and pressure vessels and the control of use and operation thereof will not apply to cleaning machines of the above type provided that they are maintained in an efficient and safe condition and operated by persons conversant with the safety requirements relating to the machines.

Antiquities and Monuments Ordinance (Cap. 53)
Antiquities and Monuments (Declaration of Historical Building) Notice 1998 (L.N. 301)

This Notice declares King Law Ka Shuk at Tai Po Tau Tsuen, Tai Po, New Territories, to be a historical building for the purposes of the Antiquities and Monuments Ordinance (Cap. 53).

The effect of such a declaration is that certain acts such as excavation, building or other works and demolition, etc. are prohibited in relation to the historical building except under a permit granted by the Secretary for Home Affairs.
