2.4 Number of Hours of Station Productions
For the year 2005-06, ATV and TVB produced a total of 11,643
hours (34.2%) of television programmes, representing an increase
of 6.7% over 2005. Of the 239 channels provided by the domestic
pay television programme service licensees, 42 (17.6%) were
station-produced, representing an increase of 13.5% over the
previous year. As for sound broadcasting, with the exception
of RTHK Radio 6 relaying BBC World Service, the other 12 radio
channels were produced by the broadcasters.
