| Broadcasting Services Survey
2007
To track the penetration and usage of different categories
of television programme services and sound broadcasting services,
the viewing and listening habits of the public and their attitudes
on matters relating to broadcasting, the Authority commissioned
an independent survey company to conduct a survey on broadcasting
services in Hong Kong during the period from March to June
2007. The findings of the survey were compared with that of
the survey commissioned by the Authority in 2005.
In addition, the survey collected and assessed the audience's
perception about the variety and quantity of programmes; the
current regulation of different television and sound broadcasting
services; and awareness and effectiveness of the present complaint
avenues.
A total of 1 625 successful face-to-face interviews were
conducted with respondents aged 15 or above. The executive
summary and findings of the survey are available for public
access on the Authority's website at www.hkba.hk.
