2.4 Number of Hours of Station Productions
For the year 2006-07, ATV and TVB produced a total of 12 100 hours (36%) of television programmes, representing an increase of 3.9% over 2006. Of the 271 channels provided by the domestic pay television programme service licensees, 54 (19.9%) were station-produced, representing an increase of 28.6% over the previous year. As for sound broadcasting, with the exception of RTHK Radio 6 relaying BBC World Service, the other 12 radio channels were produced by the broadcasters.
